Advanced Performance Assessment: Running Assessment

Understand your running. Improve your performance.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best, returning from injury or simply wanting to become a stronger, more efficient runner, our Advanced Performance Running Assessment gives you the insight to understand exactly how you move and what you can do to improve.

Combining RunEasi running analysis, VALD force testing and expert physiotherapy assessment, we identify the factors affecting your running performance, efficiency and injury risk.

Unlike a standard running analysis, every result is interpreted by an experienced physiotherapist who explains what matters, why it matters and how to improve.

This is your running performance, analysed properly.

Who is This Assessment for?

Every runner is different. Whether you’re just starting out, building your confidence, training regularly or chasing your next personal best, understanding how your body moves can help you run more efficiently, improve performance and reduce your risk of injury.

Beginner runners

Starting your running journey with the right foundations can make a huge difference.

Our assessment helps you understand your movement patterns, identify areas to improve and develop a stronger, more efficient running technique from the beginning.

Recreational runners

If you enjoy running but feel stuck, struggle with recurring niggles or want to improve your pace, this assessment can help identify what may be holding you back.

We'll assess your strength, movement and running efficiency to help you train smarter and get more from every run.

Runners chasing their next goal

Small changes can lead to meaningful improvements.

Using objective data, we identify opportunities to improve your running economy, strength, power and efficiency to help you move towards your goals.

Runners returning from injury

Returning to running is about more than simply feeling pain-free.

Our assessment helps identify factors that may have contributed to injury and provides a personalised plan to help you return stronger, more confident and more resilient.

Why have a running assessment?

Understand your running beyond pace and distance

Most runners track their pace, distance and race times, but these numbers don’t explain what is happening underneath every stride.

You may be wondering:
Our Advanced Performance Running Assessment combines objective data with physiotherapy expertise to understand your running, your goals and the factors that may be influencing your performance.

We assess:

Rather than guessing, you’ll understand exactly what is influencing your running and what to focus on next.

Why Choose S&C Therapy for Your Running Assessment?

A running assessment is only valuable when the results lead to meaningful change.

At S&C Therapy, we combine advanced technology with experienced physiotherapy knowledge to provide more than data.

We take the time to understand your goals, your training and your body, then use objective information to create a plan that is specific to you.

You’ll receive clear explanations, practical recommendations and expert guidance to help you move forward with confidence.

What You'll Receive

A personalised plan to help you run better

Your assessment doesn’t end when the testing is complete. Once all your data has been collected, your physiotherapist will analyse your results and create a clear, personalised plan based around your running goals.

You’ll receive:
Whether your goal is to run faster, become more efficient, return stronger after injury or simply understand your body better, you’ll leave with the clarity, confidence and direction to move forward.

Have been to S&C Therapy twice now, once for a sports massage and the other for a running assessment. Had a great experience both times - Charlie is friendly and personable and uses his expertise to find solutions to your problems in a way that is easy to understand and follow. After my running assessment I felt inspired to put into practice the advice Charlie gave to improve my running performance. The practice is well equipped and welcoming, would highly recommend.

Charlie, physio at S&C Therapy is excellent and would highly recommend; I had been experiencing a far amount of discomfort in my shoulder for many months which was hampering/limiting the range of movement but after having a consultation with Charlie and a number of physio treatment session, together with the exercises that Charlie gave me to follow I now experience no discomfort in my shoulder and now have full movement back which allows me to continue my fitness journey. Charlie took time to understand the issue(s) behind the discomfort in my shoulder and treated it accordingly. Thank you Charlie.

By seeing Charlie regularly for both physio and acupuncture for a few months, I’ve been able to dramatically reduce my pain. He’s always helpful, takes time to understand the problem and thinks outside the box to customise your physio exercises and treatment depending on how you’re feeling. Plus the new physio space is great! I would absolutely recommend Charlie and S&C Therapy to anyone

Charlie really took the time to help address my concern over my knee and create a plan to help recover my knee which really took the stress off me and I realised there was a (structured) solution to get better. Just a bit unclear/wasn't well informed on how long full recovery will take.
